Push Pin Graphic was a bi-monthly publication that ran for 23 years, at 86 issues total. Started at first as a freeform publication sent to family & friends by Push Pin Studios in NYC in 1957, it changed to a magazine form in 1976. It was art directed & designed by Seymour Chwast. Articles & theme were the brainchild of Ken Robbins.
The theme of Issue 83 is “Couples” and looks at the natural pairing off of humans. It includes love letters by Nell Gwynne, Czarina Alexandra, Franz Kafka and Napolean. There is also a story by Carson McCullers, a poem by E.E. Cummings, a picture story by Frans Masereel, comic by Elwood H. Smith, photos by Seymour Jacobs & more.
