The Doctor and the Devils by Dylan Thomas (used)
The Doctor and the Devils by Dylan Thomas
This screenplay by Dylan Thomas was written in 1960 with the intention of it becoming a film, at the request of a producer at the time named Donald Taylor. It was the first ever screenplay published before a film was made from it. The murder mystery tells the story of grave robbers supplying fresh corpses to medical schools for dissection purposes. Business was brisk for the grave robbers and when they found that there weren’t enough naturally caused deaths to support the business, they started killing people off to keep it going. The play is poetic even if a murderous tale.
